Dawn is sometimes assistant to Professor Rowan, and other times Barry's rival and childhood friend. Barry feels close to her as he always views Dawn as his friend regardless of the role she ends up fulfilling for the duration of their journey.

Like himself, he's not sure what her name is at times. Although usually he doesn't have trouble knowing what it is. ...in the realms within the games, anyway.
